Kurt Arbuckle: I’m Kurt Arbuckle. I’m an attorney in Houston, and I represent people who’ve been injured in a motorcycle collision. Motorcycles are used throughout the world because they’re much more economical, as a form of transportation, than a car or a truck.
Some people feel, in the United States, that motorcycles have a bad reputation because of the acts of a very few people who misuse them, dodge in and out of traffic, and things like that. The truth is that the vast majority of motorcycle collisions are actually the fault of the car or truck that’s involved in the collision, rather than the motorcyclist.
As a consequence, it’s very important, if you’ve been injured driving a motorcycle in a collision, that you get an attorney who has experience handling cases involving motorcyclists, so that you will have someone who knows how to meet the reputation problems that you might encounter with a jury or an insurance adjuster.
In this series of seven videos, I’m going to go over the various kinds of collisions that typically occur involving motorcycles, so that you can get an idea of what’s involved and what may be necessary in order to prove your case. In the next video, I’ll start with the types of collisions that can occur, and there’ll be six more videos.
