Rodeo is a Houston tradition, loved by people young and old. And in the spring, Houston rodeo fans come alive!
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will ride into town this month, from March 4 through March 23, so saddle up to attend Houston’s favorite event.
This show offers exciting competitions, concerts, and exhibitions. The most famous of the competitions—the one that leaves audience members breathless for eight seconds—is bull riding. However, the Rodeo will include a number of other exciting competitive events, including:
- Tie-down roping
- Bareback riding
- Team roping
- Saddle bronc riding
- Steer wrestling
- Barrel racing
- Chuck wagon races
- Calf scramble
In addition to the competitions, the event—held at Reliant Park—will feature a livestock show and horse show.
Don’t forget to attend one (or more) of the many concerts that will be performed during the three-week event. Headliners including Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Zac Brown, and Maroon 5 will soon take the stage in Houston.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is an event not to be missed! I hope to see you there.
