From midnight feedings for babies, to playing catch and helping with homework in the school age years, to soothing kids through the teenage years, fathers do so much.
That’s why, every year in June, we celebrate dads. This year, Father’s Day lands on Sunday, June 15.
You might have already planned the perfect Father’s Day for your dad.
But if you haven’t, Houston has a number of exciting activities that you can share with your dad.
If your dad is an avid sport’s fan, there’s a baseball game that the whole family might appreciate.
The Houston Astro’s host the Tampa Bay Rays. Before you say “no thanks,” consider the fact that the Astros are giving away a Father’s Day BBQ Grills Set giveaway that benefits everyone. BBQ! The game starts at 1:10 p.m., and tickets range from $10 to $70.
If your dad is looking for something a little more active, he might enjoy participating in the Dad’s Day 5K taking place Saturday, June 14th at Downtown Aquarium, 550 Prairie Street, Houston, TX. Not just an opportunity to stay fit this race also benefits prostate cancer research and awareness. The whole family can join, so what better way to support dad’s health and give something back to the community? Early registration ends June 13th, so check out the online registration soon if you’re interested.
Dads who just want to go for a relaxing meal have plenty of options. The restaurant reservation website Open Table has created a special list devoted to honoring Father’s Day in Houston. From a three-course brunch at Fleming’s, to Italian at Buca di Beppo, fathers are sure to have a great meal on their special day.
From everyone at Kurt Arbuckle, P.C. we wish you a Happy Father’s Day!
